OUR FAMILY REUNION - A touch of heaven for a week

GOLFING

On Tuesday Al and the boys (our two sons) played 18 holes of golf at Felicita Golf Course, which is just across the road from where we live. We had lunch first at the club restaurant, and then took 6 hours to play. (I went along for the fun of it). We all had such a great time! We're sorry Will (our son-in-law) couldn't make it - we missed you Will, but it was nice that there was room for me in the second golf cart. I had loads of fun driving it =) Here we are on the lovely porch where we just ordered our lunch. It was a glorious day - perfect for playing golf.
From left to right is Christian, Al (my hubby), then Sean and me.

I'm in the cart and ready to roll. (Al took this one).
And they're off! (If you look carefully you can see the ball in the distance just above the green, about 2" to the right of his shoulder).
Good shot Sean!
Now this one is another story=)

(Just so you know I was there).

Christian had a really powerful swing, and could get the ball further than we could spot it at times.
Oops! But Al got it out no problem. We had a lot of laughs that day!

First try.
Second try!

I even tried!
A prize for anyone who could find that ball! (In case you're wondering, Christian's left-handed).

This was taken from the spot where our land is (that we're going to be building on in the spring).
It borders the golf course on the left of the picture. Isn't that view beautiful?

Loads of fun!!

Time for a break!

We had a beautiful day and made memories that we'll have for a long time to come!

BACK HOME WITH OUR LITTLE OKLAHOMA GIRLS. Don't they look like dolls?
Addie wanted to hold Storie and "spread her" (meaning the blankie =) I couldn't resist taking this one. We sure enjoyed them!
(I have lots more pics of our week together esp. camping at Lake Heron, so keep "posted" =)
We thank the Lord for a wonderful visit with Christian, Holly and their two precious girls, and that Sean was able to be here at the same time. We had such a lovely time together, all three of our children and their families, that it seemed to be a little touch of heaven on earth.
Thanks so much for the wonderful visit guys, and we look forward to our next visit with you already.

ART SHOW in downtown Harrisburg

The art show went well. It was a lot of work but Al and I are a good team ( I can't do it without him). We had a lot of opportunities to meet new people and we were able to make some money as well. God is so good! We had wonderful weather and a lovely day all in all.
I also got new business cards that I think are fabulous. Al designed it, and it has one of my paintings on either side. The quality is also great, and the color perfect! (Thanks Christian for the recommendation. It was overnightprints.com if any of you are interested). The only thing is it has his email address on it instead of mine. Mistake? maybe not! This way he can go through all my junk and screen all my fan mail =)

July 4th, Camping & Ducklings

What do all these have in common? Who knows, but I decided to group them all together anyway.
We spent 4th of July with Al's sister, Jill and her family as usual. His brother Karl and his wife Denese, and our daughter Dana, her husband Will and all five grandchildren were also there.
We had a very good time of fellowship, lots of good food and fantastic weather.
(We sure missed Sean and Christian and his family though! They're all coming to PA on vacation in less than 2 weeks, and we'll all be together then - we can hardly wait!)

Mary Kate, Dana and Will - just arriving.

What a sweetie! Can't talk yet, but sure lets you know she's there.

Timothy (10), Owen (7), and Megan (4, that's "far years old"=)

And this is Andrew (8), who has a hard time smiling for pictures, can you tell? He is so special - they all are!

Jill and Sarah, her daughter.

From left to right, that's Martha (Mom) in the foreground, then Al talking to Andrew, and Al's dad, Paul looking at Dana & Mary Kate, while Karl, Al's brother talks to them.

The three girls - what a sweet picture.
MARY KATE TOOK HER FIRST STEP on the deck just before I took this! How exciting is that!!!

Fellowship on the lower deck. (That's Ken, Jill's husband on the left, with his mom, Veronica in the center foreground, then Al on her right, and next to Al is Denese and Karl, her husband)
.
A serious conversation between Will and Grandpa, as Dana looks on.
We had a very relaxing holiday, and were so grateful for the lovely weather!

CAMPING AT LAKE HERON last weekend. (Only 40 mins approx. from home)
It's a 10 acre lake nestled in the woods, with only a cabin and 3 campsites. So lovely and quiet!

This is the view from the campsites. I swam to my hearts content. It was the perfect temperature - even Al thought so!

Our campsite. Relaxing after swimming all afternoon and an early supper.
Yes, that's his laptop you see. We even watched a dvd (Cars) on it one night just for fun.
Boy, it sure was different camping in the RV. The last time we camped here we got totally soaked taking down our tent and packing the car with all our camping gear. This time all we had to do was retract the awning and roll up the carpet. We even went to 3B's for ice cream on both days, since it's so easy to come and go.
We had a lovely relaxing time, with lots of time together, as well as with the Lord - time to think and pray about some things, which we both needed. We came away feeling blessed and refreshed.

AL AND HIS FATHER'S DAY DUCKLINGS. (The three survivors)
They would not leave his side, as he repaired the car on the driveway. They think he's their mother, after all, he does buy them fishing worms, and has taught them how to jump up two feet for them (I should get a video of it the next time =)

I think they should get a little closer, don't you?
Don't ask me how "mother duck" got any work done on the car.

Snuggle time after work.

This was over a week ago, and they are a little bigger now, with their white tail feathers coming in. We believe a weasel got the other five, and have prayed for these little three. They are such a joy, and come running up to greet us whenever we come home or step out the front door.
They are so cute and we hope they continue to survive the wilderness in which we live. (We heard there's even a bear around here).
Well, more news later, God bless you - will post after my show on Saturday.
